Qatar has denied reports claiming it offered 12 billion dollars to Iran in order to secure a diplomatic agreement. The statement was issued by Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al Ansari, who rejected the allegations outright.
Al Ansari said the claims are being spread by parties seeking to sabotage the deal and undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at regional de-escalation and stability. He described the reports as attempts to interfere with sensitive negotiations.
He added that Qatar’s diplomatic role, carried out in coordination with regional partners, is well established and publicly documented. According to him, the accusations are desperate attempts to damage the country’s reputation as a trusted international peace facilitator.
