Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the ongoing crisis in West Asia is far from over despite formal discussions about a ceasefire. He noted that the situation on the ground remains volatile, with major regional and global powers involved, creating uncertainty that extends beyond the region.
Speaking in Lucknow, Singh highlighted the wider global implications of the conflict, including disruptions to energy supplies, shipping routes and critical resources. He stressed that such instability affects the entire world and requires continued vigilance.
Reassuring citizens, Singh said India is prepared to handle any potential fallout, particularly in the energy sector. Citing confidence expressed by the World Bank, he added that the government has formed a Group of Ministers under his leadership to monitor developments and coordinate responses. He urged people to remain calm and avoid misinformation, emphasizing that India is confronting the challenge with preparedness and determination.
