Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has firmly rejected Lebanon's planned direct talks with Israel, describing them as a 'grave sin' that would destabilize the country. In a statement issued Monday, he warned that such negotiations would neither benefit Lebanon nor its leadership and urged authorities to reverse their decision.
Qassem said Hezbollah would not recognize the talks or their outcomes, insisting they were irrelevant to the group. He reaffirmed Hezbollah's commitment to what he described as defensive resistance in support of Lebanon and its people.
He also declared that threats from Israel would not force the group to retreat, stressing that Hezbollah would not bow down or be defeated despite mounting pressure.
