Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired a review of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 as it enters its third and final phase from 2026 to 2030. He said the strategy has delivered a qualitative leap across economic sectors, infrastructure, services, and social development, despite global economic and political challenges. The new phase will consolidate past gains, accelerate implementation, and lay the foundation for continued progress beyond 2030.

Since its launch in 2016, Vision 2030 has introduced wide structural, economic, and legislative reforms, with the vast majority of performance indicators meeting or nearing targets. Non oil activities now account for more than half of the national economy, real output has expanded significantly, and competitiveness rankings have improved. Tourism has exceeded initial targets, major development projects are advancing, and private sector participation and foreign investment have grown strongly.

Social indicators have also improved, including higher homeownership rates, expanded health coverage, rising life expectancy, and greater sports participation. Unemployment among citizens has fallen sharply, women’s participation in the labor market has increased, and more students are attending leading global universities. The leadership emphasized that investing in citizens remains the central pillar of the transformation.

The council stressed that the conclusion of the third phase in 2030 will not mark the end of development, but rather serve as a platform for future growth. By strengthening sustainability, governance, and long term planning, the Kingdom aims to secure lasting prosperity and reinforce its position among leading global economies.
