A 45-year-old man has appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London after being charged with the attempted murder of two Jewish men in a stabbing attack in Golders Green. The accused, Essa Suleiman, is alleged to have targeted 34-year-old Shloime Rand and 76-year-old Moshe Shine, identified in court documents as Norman Shine. He also faces a charge of possessing a bladed article.
Prosecutors told the court that Suleiman carried out a separate attempted murder earlier the same day in south London, allegedly attacking a former friend before traveling north where the later incident occurred. He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear next at the Old Bailey on May 15.
