Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, head of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, took part in the Global Partnerships Conference in London, hosted by the United Kingdom Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development. During the event, he highlighted the center’s humanitarian and emergency response efforts across more than one hundred countries.
On the sidelines of the conference, a joint declaration of intent was signed between the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and the British government to support children injured in the Gaza Strip. The agreement includes a project to provide specialized surgical care for Palestinian children affected by the conflict, with Imperial College London assigned to train medical personnel.
The two-day conference brings together government officials, international organizations, and private sector representatives to strengthen cooperation and address the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. Discussions focus on the disruption of energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz, worsening food insecurity, and the risk that millions more could face acute hunger if the conflict continues. Participants are also exploring ways to use advanced digital systems to empower communities and improve decision-making.
