Morocco's state-owned airline Royal Air Maroc has announced the temporary suspension of several routes to African and European destinations as it grapples with rising jet fuel prices, higher operating costs and weak passenger demand.
Flights connecting Moroccan airports with Bangui, Brazzaville, Kinshasa, Douala, Yaounde and Libreville will be paused. Services to European cities including Malaga, Barcelona, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille and Brussels will also be halted.
The decision comes amid a surge in global jet fuel prices driven by tensions in the Middle East, adding financial pressure on carriers and prompting route reductions.
