The Home Front Command announced that it will begin issuing preliminary alerts for rocket and missile launches from Lebanon when operational conditions permit. The early warnings will be distributed through its mobile application, personal message platform, national emergency portal, and official Telegram channels.
The advance notice will provide only a short preparation window, depending on location. Communities along the confrontation line may receive several seconds of warning before sirens sound, northern areas up to about one minute, and the rest of the country up to approximately two minutes.
Residents who receive an early warning are instructed to move closer to a protected space so they can enter immediately once sirens are activated. Officials cautioned that sirens may sometimes sound without a prior alert, or that an early warning may be issued without a subsequent siren. The Home Front Command said it will continue improving its alert systems to enhance civilian safety.
