Lebanon's Minister of Culture, Ghassan Salameh, said upcoming talks between Lebanon and Israel in the United States will be limited in scope and held at the ambassadorial level. He emphasized that the meeting should not be viewed as formal negotiations, but rather as discussions focused strictly on logistical matters.
According to Salameh, Lebanon's ambassador to the United States, Nada Mouwad, has a single mandate: to seek a ceasefire. He stressed that achieving a ceasefire is the sole objective of the talks and described it as a clear boundary that cannot be crossed. If a ceasefire is not secured, he indicated that no further engagement beyond that goal is authorized.
