Israel’s Education Ministry announced that the school system will fully reopen nationwide starting Sunday morning, following updated security guidelines after ceasefires with Lebanon and Iran. The decision applies to all regions, including northern communities near the Lebanon border.

The ministry said preparations had been made in advance to ensure an immediate and comprehensive return to regular learning. Unlike previous arrangements that allowed flexibility for local authorities, this directive is nationwide and mandatory.

Education Minister Yoav Kisch described the reopening as an important moment for students and staff, emphasizing the need to quickly close learning gaps and strengthen social resilience. Schools across the country had faced disruptions since the launch of Operation Roaring Lion on February 28.
