Argentine President Javier Milei concluded his official visit to Israel with a prayer at the Western Wall on Tuesday evening. Marking the seventy-eighth Independence Day of the State of Israel, he offered a special prayer for the peace and well-being of both Israel and Argentina, as well as for the continued strengthening of ties between the two nations.

During the visit, Mordechai Eliav, Director General of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, presented Milei with an original piece of ash from the Second Temple period. The artifact, recently uncovered at the bottom of a ritual bath dating to the late Second Temple era, visibly moved the president as he touched the ancient remains.
