The Israel Defense Forces have expanded recruitment of ultra-Orthodox soldiers into dedicated combat tracks, marking a significant step in integrating the community into frontline service. The move includes specialized training programs designed to align with ultra-Orthodox religious lifestyles.
The brigade's training base provides infantry combat instruction alongside advanced professional courses such as squad commanders' training, medics' certification, night-driving and drone operations. Recently, the first class completed the brigade's officer course, which is gender-segregated and tailored to meet religious requirements.
In operational developments, brigade troops arrested a member of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force last week. The suspect was transferred for further interrogation inside Israel.
