ICC T20I rankings: India retain no. 1 spot - where are Asian neighbours Pakistan and Sri Lanka? | Cricket News - The Times of India

India have retained the top position in the International Cricket Council men's Twenty20 International rankings, maintaining their lead over England and Australia in the latest update. The reigning world champions recently secured their third Twenty20 World Cup title in March, becoming the first team to successfully defend the trophy.

India sit on 275 rating points, ahead of England on 262 and Australia on 258. New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and West Indies complete the top seven, with no changes in their positions. The points update gives full weight to matches played since May 2025 and half weight to matches from the previous two years.

Sri Lanka dropped to ninth place after losing six rating points, while Bangladesh climbed to eighth. Afghanistan are tenth, followed by Zimbabwe and Ireland. The United States rose to thirteenth after gaining six points, overtaking Netherlands and Scotland, while several other teams experienced minor shifts lower down the table. The total number of ranked teams has reduced from 102 to 98 after four teams failed to meet the required match criteria.
