Israel denied entry to American YouTuber Tyler Oliveira after he landed at Ben Gurion International Airport, following a recommendation from the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism. Authorities said the decision was based on content and statements they described as inciting against Jews and containing antisemitic characteristics.
Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister Amichai Chikli said the move reflects a new policy barring individuals who spread antisemitic content, support boycotts against Israel, or incite against the state and the Jewish people. The recommendation was issued in accordance with the Entry into Israel Law and coordinated among relevant government bodies.
The ministry cited several past videos and interviews in which Oliveira allegedly made claims about Jewish communities that officials described as defamatory and inflammatory. He is expected to be returned to the United States following the refusal of his entry.
