Xi To Dump Putin & Mojtaba For US? Trump Predicts Major Gulf Oil Shift; 'It'll Happen'

United States President Donald Trump has said that China may soon begin purchasing large volumes of American oil, suggesting a potential geopolitical shift away from its reliance on Russian and Iranian crude. After talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, Trump stated that Xi 'likes the idea' of sourcing oil from Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska.

The comments come as tensions linked to the Iran war raise fears of supply disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passageway for a significant share of the world’s oil shipments. Instability in the region has unsettled global energy markets and heightened concerns among major importers.

China, the world’s largest crude oil importer, currently depends heavily on supplies from Russia and Iran. Washington now appears to be positioning itself as a more stable alternative energy supplier as uncertainty in the Middle East threatens existing trade flows.
