The Israeli military said it struck a Hezbollah weapons production facility in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre that was embedded בתוך a former civilian medical clinic and located meters from a mosque. According to the military, secondary explosions after the strike confirmed the presence of weapons inside the building.
Advance warnings were issued to reduce civilian harm, and the operation involved precise munitions and aerial surveillance. The military accused Hezbollah of operating within and near civilian and medical infrastructure, including religious sites, to carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers.
The strike followed additional Israeli attacks last week on Hezbollah infrastructure in Tyre. In late March, evacuation orders were issued after the military identified Hezbollah operatives launching heavy rocket fire from residential neighborhoods, with about 120 rockets reportedly fired from the city’s outskirts.
