Iran has 'absolutely no optimism' toward the United States even if a new agreement is reached, according to a report by the Tasnim news agency. The outlet stated that indirect exchanges of messages through a Pakistani mediator have been marked by deep skepticism toward the American administration.
The report said that no final agreement has yet been secured and that disagreements over several clauses remain unresolved. It added that even if an initial deal is achieved, Iran's broader view of the United States would not shift and trust would not automatically follow.
Citing what it described as a poor record by the United States in past negotiations, the report emphasized that Iran would closely monitor American actions during any implementation phase. It warned that if the United States fails to uphold its commitments, Iran would retain the ability to respond.
