Rafi Milo, commander of the Israel Defense Forces Northern Command, issued a sharp warning to Hezbollah, stating that attacks on Israeli civilian communities will no longer be tolerated. Speaking during a ceremony for the Golan Brigade, he said harming civilians and residential areas cannot become an accepted reality and described the current situation as a state of war in the north.
Milo accused Hezbollah of deliberately escalating tensions by targeting the civilian population with drone and explosive drone attacks in recent days. He said the group had crossed a severe and unacceptable red line and hinted that Israel could intensify its offensive operations in Lebanon.
His remarks followed several drone strikes in northern Israel, including an explosion near a children's bus stop in the community of Shomera and another that sparked a fire in a wooded area near Rosh HaNikra. No injuries were reported, and emergency crews worked to contain the blaze.
