Iran's deputy foreign minister said the United States cannot impose its will by blocking the strategic Strait of Hormuz, following Iran's military announcement that the key waterway had been closed again.
Speaking at a diplomatic forum in Antalya, Saeed Khatibzadeh said that while Iran is trying in good faith to ensure safe passage through the strait, the United States is attempting to lay siege to the country. He emphasized that Washington does not have the authority to control or restrict access to the vital shipping route.
