Iran's envoy to the United Nations has stated that Tehran requires credible guarantees against further attacks by the United States and Israel before it can help ensure stability in the oil-rich Persian Gulf.
Speaking at a United Nations Security Council session, Amir Saeid Iravani said that lasting regional security depends on a durable and permanent end to what he described as aggression against Iran.
He added that stability can only be achieved if there are firm assurances of non-recurrence and full respect for Iran's sovereign rights and interests, emphasizing that such guarantees are essential for long-term peace in the region.
