Iran said it has uncovered and dismantled several alleged espionage networks inside the country that it claims were linked to Israel's intelligence service. The Intelligence Ministry said the operations took place across multiple provinces, including West Azerbaijan, Alborz, and Kerman.
According to officials and reports cited by state media, the suspects were allegedly planning coordinated attacks on sensitive infrastructure in Tehran, along with high-profile assassinations targeting senior Iranian figures. Authorities said one individual described as a terrorist was killed during a counterintelligence operation.
In separate raids, additional suspects were detained before they could carry out their alleged plans. Iranian officials also reported seizing equipment such as micro air vehicles, firearms fitted with suppressors, ammunition, and a satellite internet terminal.
