Two men were shot and wounded in the northern Arab town of Jadeidi-Makr, according to police. Hebrew media reports identified the victims as the head of the local council, Suheil Milhem, and his deputy.

Emergency responders said one man was in serious and unstable condition with gunshot wounds, while the other was listed in moderate condition. Both were taken to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya for treatment.

Police have not released further details about the circumstances of the shooting, and an investigation is ongoing.
