United States President Donald Trump said he has asked several countries to join the Abraham Accords as part of a broader agreement involving Iran. In a post on Truth Social, he named Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, and Turkiye, and said he had spoken with their leaders as well as those of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, which joined the accords in 2020.
Trump described the effort as part of a wider push to build what he called an unparalleled world coalition, stating that countries should immediately sign on, particularly if Iran agrees to a deal with the United States. He pointed to years of diplomatic work aimed at bringing more nations into normalized relations with Israel.
However, his remarks prompted questions from observers, noting that Egypt and Jordan already have longstanding peace agreements with Israel and that Turkiye maintains normal ties. Saudi Arabia has not issued a new statement, but Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman previously said the kingdom would seek clear progress toward a two-state solution before joining the accords.
