Police officers in central Israel prevented a potentially deadly incident after stopping a vehicle driven by a 10-year-old boy on an unpaved road near Horashim Forest.
The officers became suspicious during routine activity and pulled the car over, only to discover the child behind the wheel. His father was seated beside him holding a toddler, and none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
When questioned, the father told officers that his son 'just wanted to drive a bit.' The two children were transferred to their mother at the scene, while the father was detained for questioning. Police said they view such reckless behavior with utmost seriousness and will continue to act decisively against actions that endanger lives on the road.
