Israel will return to full normalcy nationwide starting Saturday night, following updated defensive guidelines issued after a situational assessment by the military and the Home Front Command. As of Friday afternoon, most restrictions have already been lifted across the country, with only limited gathering caps remaining in frontline areas until Saturday evening.
From Saturday at 8:00 p.m., those final restrictions will also be removed, allowing full activity without limitations. Defense Minister Israel Katz and Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar confirmed that sports, cultural events, and public gatherings will resume at full capacity.
Several municipalities, including Kiryat Gat, Givatayim, Be'er Sheva, Arad, and Bat Yam, have announced that planned Memorial Day and Independence Day events will proceed as scheduled. In the north, Nahariya is preparing to reopen schools for in-person learning as early as Sunday, pending further security assessments tied to the ceasefire in Lebanon.
