Israel's Education Ministry has announced that schools across the country, including those in northern border communities, will fully reopen for in-person learning. Unlike previous approaches that allowed local authorities flexibility in how to implement reopening plans, this decision is comprehensive and mandatory, with no option for local adjustments.
Education Minister Yoav Kisch said the move reflects both prior preparations and the current situation on the ground. He described the return to full classroom learning as a significant step for students and educators.
Kisch emphasized the need to quickly address learning gaps and strengthen social resilience, adding that the ministry is providing the necessary tools to ensure a rapid and effective transition back to regular school routines.
