Hundreds of people gathered to accompany the family of Sergeant Idan Fooks to his funeral, honoring the 19-year-old soldier who was killed during operational activity in southern Lebanon. Mourners waved flags and walked alongside the grieving family as they made their way to the military section of Segula Cemetery in Petah Tikva.

Fooks, a fighter in Battalion 77 of the Seventh Brigade, was killed by an explosive drone blast. During the procession, his family members broke down in tears and thanked the crowd for their support. His mother asked those present to 'applaud him,' and the crowd responded with applause in memory of the fallen soldier.
