Israel's public broadcaster has reported that Hamas operatives are undergoing military training in Turkey, including instruction in small arms use, tactical operations, and drone piloting. According to the report, the individuals train in civilian clothing at public shooting clubs and have obtained official licenses to operate drones.
The operatives are reportedly preparing for deployment to Lebanon, Jordan, and the West Bank, where they are expected to carry out attacks in future conflicts with Israel. The training is said to be part of broader preparations for renewed hostilities.
The report also highlighted previous allegations of coordination between Turkey and Hamas, including the exposure of an Iran-backed money laundering network operating through Turkish financial institutions. Israeli authorities have said the network facilitated large-scale transfers of funds from Iran to Hamas through intermediaries based in Turkey.
