Member of Knesset Amit Halevi called for Israel to shift from a defensive posture to what he described as decisive offensive action against Hezbollah and Iran. In an interview, he argued that Israel must stop relying on limited responses and instead dismantle Hezbollah's infrastructure, including areas from which explosive drones are launched.
Halevi said Israel is in a stronger position than it was before October 7 but maintained that a more significant phase of the campaign is necessary. He urged taking control of territory up to the Litani River and destroying Hezbollah's centers of control, warning that defensive measures alone are insufficient.
He also cautioned that if the United States signs an agreement with Iran, Israel would need to adjust its strategy in Lebanon. Separately, Halevi described the upcoming elections as fateful, called on right wing voters to mobilize, and emphasized that high voter turnout could determine the country's future direction.
