The Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and South Sudan are co-ordinating efforts to contain a growing Ebola outbreak, as suspected cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo surpass 900. Health authorities are working across borders to prevent further spread of the virus and strengthen surveillance and response measures.

The programme also reports on allegations by a pro-Palestinian activist who claims she was mistreated after being detained aboard an aid flotilla bound for Gaza, claims that Israel denies. Meanwhile, President Trump said that Iran and the United States must 'take their time' in negotiations, tempering expectations of a swift agreement.

In Afghanistan, activists warn that forced underage marriages have increased in the five years since the Taliban barred girls over the age of twelve from attending school. The episode also looks at the controversial Enhanced Games, an event that permits performance-enhancing drugs and has been described by critics as the 'Olympics on steroids'.
