Firefighters and a district hazardous materials unit responded to a hydrochloric acid leak on Tuesday at the Sportan country club in Petah Tikva. The incident prompted an immediate emergency response to secure the area and prevent potential exposure.
All swimmers at the complex were evacuated as a precaution. Two nearby kindergartens were also instructed to stay away from the area to avoid contact with the hazardous substance.
Authorities reported that the leak has since been stopped. No injuries have been reported, and the situation remains under investigation as it continues to develop.
