Counter terrorism police are investigating an attempted arson attack on a business in Hendon, north-west London. A man was seen placing a plastic bag containing three bottles filled with fluid outside a row of shops before setting them alight. The bottles did not fully ignite and the suspect fled the scene, causing only minor damage to the shopfront and no injuries.
Authorities said the incident is not being treated as terrorism and is not currently linked to other recent cases. However, counter terrorism officers are also examining separate attempted arson attacks targeting a Persian language media organisation, a synagogue in Finchley, and ambulances belonging to a Jewish charity in Golders Green.
