The Israel Defense Forces has warned residents of southern Lebanon not to return to areas south of the Litani River, despite the start of a ceasefire agreement. The warning was delivered by the military’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee.
According to the statement, Israeli forces remain deployed in southern Lebanon due to what it described as ongoing terrorist activity by Hezbollah. Residents were instructed not to move south of the Litani River until further notice, with the military saying the measure is intended to protect civilian safety.
