Intense fighting has erupted along the Lebanon-Israel border as Hezbollah militants engaged Israeli troops in close-range combat near southern Lebanon. The clashes centered around Deir Seryan, where Israeli forces reportedly attempted to advance before coming under heavy fire from Hezbollah fighters.
Hezbollah confirmed direct confrontations with the Israel Defense Forces, while Israeli officials acknowledged exchanges of fire and said soldiers were wounded. In response, Israeli forces launched retaliatory strikes targeting Hezbollah positions in the area.
The Lebanese army also reported injuries after personnel were caught near strike zones. With mortar fire, airstrikes, and ground clashes unfolding in rapid succession, the border region has once again become a flashpoint, marking one of the most volatile escalations since the fragile ceasefire period.
